Our Story


CargoShare was established in Greece in 2018. Our goal is to change the world of chartering in the maritime sector and make the daily routine of a maritime professional easier and more efficient. From the very beginning, the innovative character of CargoShare was recognized.

Today CargoShare established its position in the maritime market offering constantly the best solutions by operating on the edge of technology, While, at the same time, our team is getting bigger by adding professionals of all fields and turning our vision into reality.

What we do


CargoShare as a brokerage firm

Our team provides competitive shipbroking services to its global client base in the tanker and dry bulk markets, from small size vessels up to VLCC and Cape sizes as well.

CargoShare as a software solution

CargoShare develops an online platform that automates the chartering procedure. Our approach gives solutions to high brokerage fees, inefficient communication, delays due to many middlemen, and the lack of transparency that exists in the market. To all the above CargoShare’s algorithm brings the solution with quantitative and qualitative characteristics, providing in zero time the best choices based on the user’s needs. The platform environment is user-friendly and there is no need for training. As CargoShare is a result of long research, comes to bring solutions to market’s needs, focuses on the general and dry bulk cargo and gives the opportunity to our partners to choose the best choice due to their strategy.

    Beginning of CargoShare.

    Athens University of Economics & Business elected CargoShare as one of the most innovative, progressive, sustainable and well promised Start Up in Greece.
  • July 2018
    CargoShare supported by ACEin, Athens Center of Entrepreneurship & Innovation.
  • April 2019
    CargoShare was elected on the top-20 Start Ups by EIT.
  • May 2019
    CargoShare supported by Provadis School of International Management And Technology and was funded by the European Institute of Innovation & Technology.
  • September 2019
    Invited to present the Innovative Solution to stakeholders in TIF 2019, garnering great reviews.
  • January 2021
    Our venture became a member of the Elevate Greece, the Greek Start-up EcoSystem of the Greek Government.
  • September 2021
    EIT recognised and funded CargoShare as one of the Start Ups that will evolve the Maritime Industry.
  • May 2022
    Became a Bimco Valuable Member.
